Ultra-athletic and enormous Brock Lesnar is getting a shot at the heavyweight title after only 3 fights in the octagon, including a loss to Frank Mir. In any other situation, there would be an outrage, and everyone would be predicting a slaughter, with the rookie losing. For Lesnar, however, it's different. It only takes a few seconds of watching his fights to realize that he is incredibly talented, and really does have a very legitimate shot at winning the belt.
Lesnar is one of the biggest fighters in the UFC, and actually has to make an effort to stay under the max weight of 265 for the heavyweight division. But unlike most other fighters his size, he is quick and agile, and fights like someone half his size.
Lesnar's opponent also has doubters. For years, Randy Couture has been underestimated and called "too old". That's right... they were calling him too old YEARS ago, and he's still around, and still the champion. That makes a strong about his conditioning, desire and ability, since many guys are retired long before they reach his age of 45.
Couture, however, has been as good as ever. He moved up from light heavyweight and challenged Tim Silvia for the heavyweight title in May 2007, and defended it successfully against Gabriel Gonzaga
