In support of his 9th studio album dropping tomorrow, Nas is scheduled for several in-store appearances at Virgin Megastore locations throughout New York and Los Angeles.
The Queensbridge rapper will be signing copies of his new disc and posters at the Union Square Virgin Megastore in Manhattan at 5 p.m. tomorrow, before jetting off to the West Coast for an autograph session the following day at the Hollywood and Highland stores.
To get into either event, fans have to first purchase the album from Virgin - which opens at 9 a.m.. The first 500 customers will then receive wristbands. Cali fans can also use their band to catch Nas’ performance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” for free.
SOHH has learned that Esco will also be making an appearance tonight at trendy, lower east side sneaker boutique Alife, where DJ Green Lantern will be spinning starting at 7 p.m. It is unclear if Nas will be performing at the event, but Green Lantern told SOHH the rapper will be in the building.
"I just got the call, he's definitely gonna be there," Green told SOHH exclusively. Alife recently partnered with Nas for a limited edition T-Shirt and lighter.
Nas’ new project, Untitled, hits stores tomorrow but had slowly been leaked track by track for weeks before finally being available for free download in its entirety on the net.
In a video clip released earlier this month, Nas appeared to take it in stride.
“Eh yo, what’s up y’all, this is Nas,” he said. “And you know we get leaked. You know I been getting leaks forever. And it’s so f*cking exciting.”
Untitled features appearances from Busta Rhymes, The Game, Chris Brown and Keri Hilson with production by DJ Toomp, Mark Ronson and Polow Da Don, among others.
